Just Came Back From Watching The Most Anticipated And Hyped Movie In Pakistani Cinema’s History “WAAR”. And I Tell You My Mind Is Blown Away By This Excellent, Tremendous, Amazing And Jam Packed Blockbuster Movie. There Were Screams, There Were Cheers, There Were Claps In The Cinema On Every Masterpiece Scene of This Pakistani Feature Film. When I Was Watching It I Did Not Believe That Its A Pakistani Movie, It Felt That I Am Watching A Hollywood Action Flick, That Was Its Standard, And The Bar Has Been Set Very High By Its Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Director of Photography, The All In One Multi Talented Bilal Lashari For Other Pakistani Film Makers.

First of The All We’ll Discuss Its Story, Waar Is A Movie Made on A Very Stereotype, Typical, Predictable And Rusted Story Line That A Ex Police Officer ( Played By Shaan ) Who Is Retired Because His Family Was Killed By A Enemy Country’s Intelligence Agent And He Lost All His Hope And Living A Dead Man’s Day To Day Sad And Lonely Life, Suddenly Got Approached By The Head of Pakistan’s C.T.G Department ( Anti Terrorism Force ) That Only He Can Help Them Save The Country From A Large Terrorist Attack Which Is Being Planned By A Undercover R.A.W Agent, And He Is Their Only Hope Because Only He Has Seen This Man’s Real Face When He Fought His Last Combat With Him And After That He Retires.

Now The Turn Comes of Executing The Stereotypical Story Line, Which Has Been Done Remarkably By Bilal Lashari, Even Though You Can Predict Whats Going To Happen Next But Still You Can’t Move Your Eyes Away From Screen Just To Watch How Amazingly It Happens. Every Event And Every Scene, Weather Its A Fight Scene or A Developing Scene, A Romantic Scene or A Patriotic Scene, An Emotional Scene or The Climax, Each And Every Shot Has Been Taken In A Creative And Innovative Manner Just Like The Cinematography You See In Hollywood Action Movies.

The Special Effects And Animation Used In The Movie Is Topnotch And Plays A Very Vital Role In Scene Building. The Helicopter Scenes And The Blasts Which Are Shown At The Operation Stage Are Just Amazing And Very Close To Reality, You Can Not Feel That Those Scenes Are Done In Post Production Phase.

Now We Come To The Acting Department, My First Pick Will Be Shaan Shahid, He Is No Doubt A Brilliant Actor And If Used Correctly Can Do Wonders With His Acting Ability And Talent, He Had A Persona And Style On The Screen Which No Other Actor Matched. His Macho Moves And Quick Reflexes In Fight Scenes Increased The Movies Class. His Dialogue Delivery Was Splendid As He Gave Value To Each And Every Word of The Script.

My Second Pick Will Be Shamoon Abbasi Who Played The Negative Role And Portrayed It With A High Level Performance, Personally I Did Not Liked Shamoon’s Acting As I Have Seen Him In Various Pakistani Dramas But In Waar He Surprised Me With His Expressions And Hard Strong Voice Which Goes Perfectly With His Well Build Body. He Reminded Me of The Dark Night Rises Villain Bane As He Looked Very Similar To Him.

The Supporting Cast Played There Role Very Efficiently, Ayesha Khan And Meesha Shafi Looked Gorgeous On The Screen With There Beauty And Also Performed Their Action Sequences Very Nicely Which Shows That Pakistani Film Heroins Can Do Action Too, They Are Not Just For Doing Dances Around The Stemmed Hero In Farms And Bars And Doing Gujjar Type Action Scenes.

Pakistan Film Industry Has Found A Great New Talent Which Is Hamza Ali Abbasi, He Played His Role With All Justice And All His Expressions And Style Goes Perfectly With His Role, As We Saw In Main Hoon Shahid Afridi Where He Played A Molvi Cricket Player Very Elegantly, He Has Done Same In Waar Too. Other Actors Like Ali Azmat, Kamran Lashari, Bilal Lashari ( Came In Few Scenes ) And Hassan Rana Played There Part Very Well And Accurately As The Script Demanded From Them.

Music And Background Score of The Film Is Also Very Remarkable And Worth Mentioning Because It Helped Alot In Scene Building And Sound Designing Was Also Done Very Accurately. There Were 2 Songs In The Movie But They Were Not Dance Numbers They Were Played At Very Serious Moments To Cruise The Scene And Explain The Emotions of The Shown People.

As A Whole Waar Is A Brilliantly Made Action Packed Big Budget Patriotic Pakistani Feature Film Which Leaves You With Just A Single Word “WOW”. A Must Watch !! My Rating 5/5 !!
